PROFILE
With an aggressive, in-your-face sound, BUG is the sort of band guarenteed to get an audience whipped into a frenzy at any live show. Despite the heavy rock character of most of their songs, many still carry a melodic and catchy chorus. The band has been playing for over half a decade now and continues to create songs and live shows that urges the listener on their feet.

BIOGRAPHY
BUG was created in the autumn of 2001 by three veterans on the Japanese music scene: vocalist Kyo (ex D'ERLANGER, Dies in Cries), guitarist Shin (ex Dies in Cries), and drummer Furuton (ex Oblivion Dust). The same year, they took part in the Suger-less event in Shibuya and released their first CD, New World. Shortly after that, in early 2002, they were joined by bassist TAKASHI (ex Dies in Cries).

The year went mostly well for the band as they toured and released their first album, BUGMANIA. Unfortunately, a few months after its release, Shin left the group; he was then replaced by guitarist Asaki. The band continued to tour and took part in the first DANGER CRUE PRESENTS 【Tenka-DANGER-】 annual festival alongside bands such as 44MAGNUM, SONS OF ALL PUSSYS and MUCC. The next year brought even more time on the road in addition to a second album, BZM#0021. Just like the previous year, however, BUG lost a member: this time in the form of drummer Furuton. Originally playing just as a support musician, Takeshi later became the fourth member of BUG's current line-up.

The years following brought new releases and new tours, such as their 2004 "SEX ON THE FLOOR" tour and 2007's "KISS ME KILL ME KISS ME". They continue to participate in the annual Danger Crue festival and finally released a best-of album, BUGKILLER, that many of their fans had long been anticipating. This band of talented music veterans shows no sign of taking a break anytime soon and their devoted fans can look forward to plenty more high-energy live shows and enjoyable albums from them in the future
