Ellegarden is a Japanese rock band formed in December 1998 in Chiba, Japan, whose members include drummer Hirotaka Takahashi, vocalist Takeshi Hosomi, guitarist Shinichi Ubakata, and bassist Yuichi Takada.
Background
the lyrics are created by Takeshi mostly English, usually gramatically voice and well spoken. In the summer 2006 edition of American Magazine Sky Purple J-Rock, Takeshi is accredited to spend the time he worked as a computer engineer in Oakland, California and later in Japan, where he had been speaking English with the workers.
The band's vocalist Takeshi Hosomi good friends with the pillow 'Sawao Yamanaka, Asian Kung-Fu Generation's Masafumi Goto and Straightener's Atsushi Horie.
History
In 2006, Ellegarden always follow in Ringtone Music Festivals events in Japan, such as Fuji Rock, Summer Sonic, Nano Mugen Festival and Rising Sun Rock Festival. Their last tour this year featuring the American band Allister, who met with them during SXSW 2006. In addition, they supported the Foo Fighters in their concert at the Osaka Castle Hall.
Ellegarden is also part of the lineup Shibuya Jack, which is unique from all the concerts that took place in several houses in the district of Shibuya in Tokyo in 2006.
Following their record, the band continued to perform live and will recently released a greatest hits album titled "Ellegarden Best (1999-2008)". This album consists of 21 songs and was released on July 2, 2008. After appearances at several high-profile festivals (including in Japan, Rock, Sky jamboree, Nano Mugen Fes, and 05x Treasure: The Greatest Riot Returns), the band perform a single concert in early September to give the fans a ceremony before a gig, two performances at Zepp Osaka Shinkiba followed by two performances at Studio Coast in Tokyo.
