La'cryma Christi is one of those bands you've probably That Heard of but never really taken the time to listen to. Well you Should definitely check them out, Because this is a band with a really unique approach to music That pays off in Their songs.

Their sound cans be described as pop-rock, but They absorb Influences from many different styles. Their unique sound comes from Taka's voice the which has an impressive range. He's not Afraid to go into the high registers so the melodies in Their songs cans be very original and unpredictable.

Taka 19-year old, a student at Osaka University, Had been wanting to form a band for Some time. He found an apartment with another student at the university, and it wasn't long before he met his roommate's friend, Hiro. Taka and Hiro found themselves Discussing Their favorite music. Shortly after this, the two avid musicians began messing around in a studio and Hiro Moved into the apartment. A year later, Taka Went to Hiro and asked uterus uterus to help form a band ...

In January 1993, five members Came together. They were the resource persons Taka, Hiro, Levin, Koji and Kita-J. The band was Strippe-D Lady and Had a hard rock / heavy metal style. Home Sick Child was comprised of 14 performances at 13 venues and ran from July to September. Another tour followed in December, and this time of the Holy Child was made up of 12 performances at 1 "venues. Both these tours were the resource persons Signs of success for the band.

Early in 1997 the band travelled to Italy to shoot Their first music video, the Glass Castle. Filming stores nine days and was released in April. A month Earlier Had seen the release of the single forest: the which was Used as the theme song for a TV Asahi drama. Taka Became a DJ for La'cryma Christi's first radio show, Sanskrit Shower.

Around this time, La'cryma Christi signed with a major label, and Their first major single was released in Ivory Trees May. It reached 22nd on the charts.

It Seems That Taka rather enjoyed being a radio DJ, and did so for five days in July for the KIDS ROCK FM radio show. Shortly after on the 30th They Their 2nd major single released The Scent. This time it only reached 25th. A tour entitled Breath of Limelight, consisting of 12 performances and 12 venues, stores place in August, and on October 29th They released another single, Nangoku, the which reached 25th in the charts.

In November the band released the album Their very first major Sculpture of Time, the which shot to eighth on the charts! A small December tour, Night Flight, of just give performances at three venues sold out. It was nice way to end the year award for La'cryma Christi.

1998 started off well, and They released Their first major video SIMPATIA 4U and Their fanclub was formed. April saw the tour of South Winds 4U and in May Their fourth single, With You reached tenth on the charts! In July They participated in Break Out '98, and just a month later the single Mirai Koro Came the which reached an impressive 3rd on the charts! The promotion tour, named after the single, completely sold out. Their November releases, IN FOREST (single) and Lhasa (album) both reached only a disappointing 8th Slightly on the charts! The last release of this year was the live video history ZERO.

La'cryma Christi's Lhasa tour, comprised of 17 performances Throughout 16 venues sold out on the first day! As a result, two additional performances at the Budokan added were the resource persons, the which Also sold out. It was a promising beginning for the year 1999.

In May, drummer Some Levin gained publicity as the first 'Levin-model' drumsticks Went on sale around the Same time as the band's next single, Without You, and a month later Came live video Live at Lhasa.

In July, Taka stores 12 days off to do work for his first drama, Tengoku no Kiss. After this a 24-day tour began Called Angolmois. A bit of information for all you drummers out there: around this time LUDWIG Levin traded in his drums for a set of Pearl.

October Came, and DJ Taka Played one last time for his radio show LOVE PARTY. A month later They began working on a third album in Hokkaido, and in December They released Their True Color 2nd PV collection.

A new millennium, and 2000 Did not show any Signs of deterring La'cryma Christi! They released Their new single, Lime Rain in January, held a 5 place fanclub-only tour, held Some local performances and finally finished Their third album in February. Magic Theatre Went on sale on March 15th, featuring the first-ever song That Levin wrote. Hiro dominated the majority of this album, contributing 11 songs. 00'escape Tour began, Bringing with it a little surprise: Hiro's lovely long black hair Had been dyed orange! The set list changed with every performance, and Levin even appeared wearing a Star Trek: The Next Generation uniform! The final date of 00'escape was held at the Budokan, and Hiro's orange hair was now purple! The band's collection of singles, aptly titled Single Collection, managed to reach a ranking of 9th, and the band established Their official homepage.

July 2000 saw a divide of the fans: Hiro cut his hair. His lovely long black hair That Had been the envy of every girl and boy around was now gone. Some fans Considered this an insult and ignored the band from That point on. However, this Did not stop the band from continuing activities, and in August They Had Their first performance overseas in Korea. On Their return, the band parts stores in the Shockwave ILLUSION 2000 event. Another tour followed, and They were the resource persons invited to take part in Sweet Trance 2000. Now seemed as good as time as any to released the single, LIFE, the which They did on November 22nd. The year ended, and Hiro changed his hair once more, this time to silver.

Taka began hosting a TV Asahi talk show's music Satellite Heart Rock Cafe at the beginning of 2001. Aside from this, it was a very quiet time for the band, and Their official website Went Down Sweet Group event. Was this an end to La'cryma Christi?

Apparently not, and in October Signs of life emerged. Came Their new website online, new single JUMP! was released on October 24th and Hiro, changing up his image again, Had cut his hair even shorter Than Taka's!

At the end of 2001 the band Gave many performances. First there was the AIDS charity concert, then SWEET Trance, 2001, the which was followed by SWEET Trance 2nd STAGE on Christmas Eve. A three-date tour was Called Jumping FLASH Also on Their list of lives.

La'cryma Christi artist Had Their Own calendar for 2002. Produced by gigs, it was a mail order-only product. February saw the release of one of Their most popular singles Jonetsu no Kaze, released on the 6th. This single was Used as the theme for a TV show and Came with one of five trading cards. In Their album released March Theys & U, and naturally a tour followed That lasted from March to April with two additional dates added in May. The last release of the year was the maxi-single Hirameki, the which Came out on December 4th. It was Quite a contrast to Their previous singles.

2003 was another busy year filled with lives and releases. In March Came Mystical gliter maxi-single, then in July followed Groove Weapon. On November 1st They released a PV DVD Called 4U/True Color and just 4 days later the album Deep Space Syndicate hit the shelves. At the end of November They released the box set loudness TRIBUTE.

Where were the resource persons Concerned releases, Things seemed to be holding steady in 2004, the which saw the releases of two maxi-singles, an album, and a DVD. The maxi-singles, Cannonball and Hot Rod Circuit, were the resource persons released in April and August, and the album turned out to be a best-of That was released on September 8th to Celebrate the 10th anniversary of the band. On June 30th They released the DVD of Six VISIONS the which Had six PVS, Including Jonetsu no Kaze, Hirameki and Groove Weapon. They Also Announced That Their summer tour shop place in August, Called HIT ROAD. Three concerts were the resource persons Announced to take place at Sun Plaza in Nakano to Celebrate Their 10th anniversary. However, the band made the disappointing announcement on Their official website That the Organizers of these concerts Had opted out of the project.

2005 was a Difficult year for the band: in February Koji Announced in the official fan club newsletter That he would be Leaving. It was a shock to the fans feared WHO La'cryma Christi Would break ups. But on March 23rd They released the maxi-single yesterdays, Koji Had the which still playing in it. Eight days later Their concert DVD of The 10th Anniversary Live "Decade" hit the shelves. Two months later, in May, the band Announced a new album! It was Their first album without Koji and was Called ZEUS. Later That year, Koji joined HEATH's support band.

However, Levin teamed up with Shinya of LUNA SEA at the beginning of March and stores parts in a special event to honor the 60th anniversary of the brand Pearl drums. The band then made it clear they'd be continuing activities of Pls in May They Went on tour, selling a limited edition of a new single, Sweet Lil 'Devil, at the final tour on the first of June.
