L'Arc ~ en ~ Ciel began his career as a visual kei band in Osaka more than fifteen years ago. After years of a career, their image could be said more and become more mainstream. They create songs with a wider range of music, from the catchy pop-rock to ballad. With a variety of music, they managed to become one of the top rock bands in Japan. BIOGRAPHY

L? Arc ~ en ~ Ciel was formed in February 1991 with bassist tetsu as well as leader, Hide (now known as hyde) on vocals, Hiro on guitar and Pero on drums. Names L? Arc ~ en ~ Ciel, which if translated literally means a curve / arc in the sky, chosen by tetsu based on a movie that he had seen.

In 1992, ken, tetsu childhood friend out of university to join the band on guitar replacing Hiro. They returned officially with concerts Reincarnation? 97 Live at Tokyo Dome. Following the release of several singles and a new album, AWAKE in 2005, the band then toured Japan before embarking on a tour ASIA LIVE 2005, which brought the band to Seoul in Korea and Shanghai in China. Before returning to Tokyo for two main performances.
