I think he's just one of the 'another re-packaged version' of the Capsule, Perfume, Coltemonikha and others, all produced by Yasutaka Nakata seems to be endless. Then I investigated a little deeper into his history and found out that recently he seems to have a mild case of schizophrenia *
Prior to his relationship with Yasutaka, MEG seems to be a pop singer who worked in the field of dance mild and gentle ballads. He also started making 'clothing line' his own, by Cheryl Glaser Carolina. Then in 2006, he changed his name from the "meg"to "MEG." He also change the musical to the Club-land. Come Yasutaka Nakata.
In the big scheme portfolio Yasutaka, MEG fall somewhere between the Perfume of the younger and more mature sophistication Capsule. Meg's own voice sounds a bit like Yuki from Judy and Mary, but for most it fit exactly into the project Yasutaka, that is a bit lifeless and rather bland. Maybe that's why singers always apply effects and vocoders.
However, Yasutaka production enthusiasts will find much in love with the new MEG. His songs are always "upbeat dance 'with the vocals very much in the forefront, surrounded by sparkling piano and synth-bass ear separation brings it all together. It just might be more of the same, but when it all sounds so good, why try harder?
Genre: technopop, ballads
