Plastic Tree will release an as-yet-untitled new single on June 10th. Exact details have not yet been revealed but the single will be released in 3 versions. Type A will come with a DVD containing the single's PV as well a off-shot footage, Type B will come with a DVD containing live and documentary material and Type C will be a CD-only version.
Plastic Tree revealed more information regarding their upcoming single, Fukurou, set to be released on June 10th. The single, their first after the departure of drummer Sasabuchi Hiroshi, will include the title-track and the B-side Consent. and will be available in four editions. The type A limited edition will feature the instrumental counterparts of both main tracks and a DVD of Fukurou's music video and making-of footage. Type B will also include both instrumental versions, with a DVD with footage from their concert held at NHK Hall on January 30th and a documentary featuring scenes from the recording period. The regular edition, which will also be available in SHM-CD format including a download of each member's voice, will contain an additional track called Bermuda Triangle.
After the departure of their drummer Sasabuchi Hiroshi in March, Plastic Tree have revealed his replacement. Having been involved with the band as a support member since Sasabuchi's departure, new drummer Satou KenKen has joined the band as an official member, as of July 3rd. Plastic Tree have revealed various pieces of information regarding their activity in the upcoming months, starting with a new single, titled Sanatorium, which is to be released on October 28th. This will be followed by the release of a live DVD on November 18th, titled Tent, featuring their August 30th Budokan performance. They will then move on to two winter concerts at CC Lemon Hall on December 27th and 28th, which will be followed by a winter tour. Further details are expected to be announced soon.
Visual kei rock band Plastic Tree have announced a new album, called Donna Donna, and a PV collection, titled Gestalt houkai -eizouhen-, to be released on December 23rd.
Donna Donna will be Plastic Tree's tenth studio album and first since Utsusemi, released back in September 2008. It is expected to include the singles Fukurou and Sanatorium, and the limited edition will come with a DVD featuring footage from their free open-air performance in Yoyogi in June.
On the same day, the band will release a new PV collection, titled Gestalt houkai -eizouhen-. The disc will include the music videos of all their singles, starting with Sanbika, from 2005, as well as the PV of the b-side Consent., which was previously shown in their latest performance at Nippon Budokan.
